These Acceptable Use Guidelines ("Guidelines") describe how you are expected to use Snap-Cast ("the App") and the content you create, upload, or share within it. These Guidelines supplement our Terms of Use and Content Moderation Policy. By using the App, you agree to follow these Guidelines.
1. Purpose of the App
Snap-Cast is designed to help users capture, organize, and share photos and videos during events in a safe and respectful environment. The App is intended for lawful, personal, and event-related use only.
2. Acceptable Uses
You may use the App to:
- Capture and upload photos and videos at events you are attending or hosting.
- Share media with other event participants who have consented to be photographed or recorded.
- Organize and manage your event media in your personal or shared gallery.
- Invite others to join an event via access code or QR code.
3. Your Responsibilities as a User
When using Snap-Cast, you agree to:
- Act respectfully toward all other users, event participants, and their content.
- Obtain consent before photographing, recording, or sharing images of other individuals.
- Use your real identity and not impersonate any person or entity.
- Protect your account credentials and not share your login information with others.
- Report violations when you encounter content or behavior that does not comply with these Guidelines.
- Keep content appropriate for all audiences unless the event is clearly designated otherwise.
4. Prohibited Behaviors
You may not use the App to:
- Upload, share, or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing.
- Record or photograph individuals in private settings without their explicit knowledge and consent.
- Spread misinformation, spam, or deceptive content of any kind.
- Attempt to access another user's account or event gallery without authorization.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise misuse the App or its underlying services.
- Use the App for commercial advertising or solicitation without prior written consent from us.
- Circumvent any security, moderation, or access-control features of the App.
- Upload malware, viruses, or any code intended to damage or disrupt services.
5. Media and Content Standards
All photos and videos uploaded to Snap-Cast must meet the following standards:
- No explicit content: Nudity, sexually explicit material, or graphic content is strictly prohibited.
- No violent content: Media depicting real or simulated violence, self-harm, or dangerous activities is not allowed.
- No hate content: Media that promotes discrimination, racism, or harassment based on race, gender, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic is prohibited.
- No illegal content: Media that depicts illegal activity or is itself illegal to possess or distribute is not permitted.
- Respect intellectual property: Only upload content you own or have explicit permission to use.
6. Event Host Responsibilities
If you create or host an event on Snap-Cast, you additionally agree to:
- Ensure that all participants are aware that photos and videos may be captured and shared.
- Manage your event gallery responsibly and remove content that violates these Guidelines.
- Not share event access codes or QR codes with individuals who have not consented to participate.
- Take reasonable steps to ensure your event is used for its intended, lawful purpose.
7. Minors
- The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13.
- If you are between 13 and 17 years of age, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the App.
- You may not upload, share, or distribute any content that depicts minors in an inappropriate, explicit, or exploitative manner under any circumstances.
8. Enforcement
We reserve the right to take action if these Guidelines are violated, including:
- Removing content that does not comply with these Guidelines.
- Issuing warnings or temporary restrictions on your account.
- Permanently suspending or terminating your account.
- Reporting illegal content or activity to the appropriate authorities.
Enforcement decisions are made at our sole discretion. We are not obligated to notify you before taking action.
9. Reporting Violations
If you witness content or behavior that violates these Guidelines, please report it through the in-app reporting feature or contact us directly. We take all reports seriously and will review them in a timely manner.
10. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in the App, applicable laws, or community standards. Continued use of the App after updates take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Guidelines.
